Rob Neal: what makes a great golf swing

Rob NealThe science of biomechanics, like other aspects of coaching and technology has made huge advances over the past decade.    Dr Rob Neal is a sports biomechanist specialising in golf and has been at the forefront of bringing improved understanding to coaches around the world.  This is a far cry from the past where our coaching philosophies used to be based around what the world’s best players did.

I asked Rob what he thought were the key components of a great golf swing as well as those players who executed those components best, both male and female.  There are also interesting thoughts about whether female golfers should attempt to swing the club similarly to male golfers.
